Our Tile Grout Cleaning Machines Get in Hard-to-Reach Areas

Cleaning tile grout is essential to maintaining the appearance and hygiene of tiled surfaces in commercial and industrial spaces.

Because grout is a porous material that tends to collect dirt, stains, and grime, a proper clean requires special care and the right machines. Fortunately, Intelligent Design Manufacturing (IDM) offers a line of tile grout cleaning machines that will help you efficiently handle any grout cleaning needs.

Discover the advantages of using an industrial machine to support grout cleaning in the spaces that your crew is responsible for cleaning.

The Essential Steps for Cleaning Grout

At its most basic, cleaning tile grout takes great preparation and a lot of scrubbing. In the past, getting down on your hands and knees with a brush was the best you could do. But who has the time for that?

Today, there are better mechanical solutions that get your floors back to square one in no time and save your knees in the process. However, the basic steps for cleaning grout remain the same, with the added benefit of using advanced cleaning equipment.

1. Preparation

Clear the tiled area of any debris or loose dirt by sweeping or vacuuming. This step ensures you’re not pushing dirt into the grout during the cleaning process.

2. Application of Solution

Pour the grout cleaner directly onto the grout lines or use a spray bottle to apply it evenly. Allow the solution to sit for a few minutes to loosen the grime.

  • Pro Tip: An automatic floor scrubber will dispense the solution as you go, so you can quickly complete this step using a machine from IDM.
  • 3. Scrubbing

Use a stiff-bristle brush to scrub the grout lines vigorously. If you’re using an autoscrubber, this process will be much less taxing.

    4. Rinse

Wipe or rinse the area with clean water to remove the cleaning solution. This step is crucial to prevent any residue from drying on the grout.

    5. Dry

Allow the grout to dry thoroughly. You can speed up this process by vacuuming up the excess water with a wet/dry vacuum or with the vacuum feature of an autoscrubber.

How Does New Technology Save You Time?

Using new machines can save you significant time when cleaning grout, and you don’t have to sacrifice the ability to get into tight spaces. IDM has several products that can get your floors back to their original luster in no time.

    The X-Scrub Series: Floor Scrubbers

Our X-Scrub series of floor scrubbers is made with a variety of spaces in mind. For the smallest spaces, like cramped bathrooms or gym areas, the X-Scrub Mini excels. Its single-pad, swiveling head lets you access areas where the dirt collects, ensuring a quicker clean.

The X-Scrub Pro is also a great option for slightly larger spaces where you need to cover more area and require ample power but still need the same maneuverability.

Both come with water- and solution-dispensing systems as well as an integrated vacuum to get rid of excess liquid quickly. Plus, they run on batteries for maximum efficiency – no more cords to drag around the cleaning area.

    The CHAMP Series: Wet/Dry Vacuums

Our CHAMP series of wet/dry vacuums are powerful machines meant for industrial purposes. Both the CHAMP20WVC and the CHAMP23DMFMS are designed for enhanced maneuverability that surpasses the functionality of bulkier wet/dry vacs.

The CHAMP20WVC is perfect for getting rid of messes before you clean the grout or vacuuming up water after a thorough scrubbing. Its larger brother makes getting rid of liquids even easier with a front-mounted squeegee system that will have floors dry in no time.

Plus, these IDM wet/dry vacuums come with dual motors and a 4 piece toolkit. When using our machines, no crevice is too small, and no mess is too large.
